About a month ago I had the chance to visit some friends and their unique guest home in the foot hills of laguna beach. I was really inspired by our conversation and we got to the topic of modular housing. Having the chance to hear Leo Marmol speak the year before last (Feb 2009 post) I felt very excited about this conversation. They told us they had recently purchased a parcel of land and were planning to build their modular home their completely off the grid after visiting this place. I was so very inspired by this and for weeks have been dreaming of what my modular home will look like. I’ve recently decided that I would prefer to no longer rent. I’ve decided to keep saving until I can make (one-day) a whole heartly “home” decision. Until then these are the two homes I’m completely in love with: “Rock the House” by Studio Ensamble (top) and “The Clara Cabin” by Hive Modular (bottom)
