Spent the morning reading aboout constructivist & productivist artist. For a few years now I’ve been filing a books with these collages from different magazines.. I do it as a way to get rid of magazines and create something I like. Also to remember themes and ideas that one day I’d like to have in my life, peace, good food, the sea, love, living close to nature and relaxation. I’m relating to this constructivist idea ”…the learner is building an internal representation of knowledge, a personal interpretation of experience. This representation is constantly open to change, its structure and linkages forming the foundation to which other knowledge structures are appended. Learning is an active process in which meaning is developed on the basis of experience….Conceptual growth comes from the sharing of multiple perspectives and simultaneous changing of our internal representations in response to those perspectives as well as through cumulative experience..” Lately I’ve talking to other artist friends about political and social movements in history where the message has been delievered primarily through art: os muntantes is a great example of this. It’s been fascinating studying these movements.
