The wondrous displays of color that define the world around us are manifestations of light and, as such, each possesses a unique frequency. Its easy in Seattle to overlook the colors that surround us, since it is more of a seasonal thing. On the contrast Costa rica is filled with color for most of the year from clothing, to food, to animals, to plants (see bird of paradise), language, to even their grocery bags (please note I brought my own so as not to pollute). It was a great trip filled with joy, excitement, fear, sun, and of course testing my endurance all the way, it was a rugged adventure! These rainbows of color are unlike the spectrum of grey here in Seattle and caution can make you very smiley! I took this back home with me: “when we pay attention to the potential affects of individual colors, we can modify our spaces, wardrobes, and habits to ensure that we introduce the colors that speak to us most deeply in our everyday lives.” -daily om
