Last week I attended a debate at the Scuplture Park called “Can Design Save the World.” It was a pretty weighty topic choice, but being curious I decided to attend. The panel included a handful of designers. Many of the designers come from some form of usability research backgrounds. Most of the debate centered around the idea of empathy and communication in developing countries. A quote from the only female designer on the panel kara pecknold that I took with me is the idea of ”to much is given, much is responsible.” She worked on the very interesting project called the human centered design toolkit.
