On the way to work this morning while listening to an audiobook called “winning” I discovered something about myself that I hadn’t before. I always knew I came from very fearless and artistic parents, but then realized that my parents were also passionate particularly my mom. I mean what other women do you know goes and takes flying lessons and decides to become a pilot when she has a bunch of toddlers running around? Last night I was talking with my mom and she explained that flying was her passion and that for her when she worked for a helicopter/jet company she was at her happiest and she even said “it didn’t feel like work, it was just that fun.” And just like that, I realize that I need to find work that is more like this. Whether it is working for myself or returning to grad school, what ever I choose will head in a closer direction of “work, that doesn’t feel like work.”
